Become a SAMS "friend"

Guy Sharman, Adrian Worgan, James barlow and Alex Flint in our 2016 production of "Sister Act"

Stamford Amateur Musical Society (SAMS) celebrates its 113th birthday this year.

Our aim is to keep musical theatre alive in Stamford and surrounding areas by bringing well known musical shows to the stage. To do this we rely on an active and committed society
membership and the support of our audiences, patrons, sponsors and many other people.

Where possible we encourage young people to take part in our shows to foster in them the love of performing and in the hope that when they grow older they will join us to continue to
act, sing and dance.

Many of you will have seen last years acclaimed production Annie which included 32 young people who along with the adults wowed audiences every night with their talent and
enthusiasm. It made us, their families and friends very proud. We would love to do more but year on year our costs rise.

Who back in 1905 would have imagined that today the average
production cost is now a staggering fifteen to twenty-five thousand pounds for every show!
This year we have decided to close our old patrons' scheme and bring it up to date with a Friends scheme that comes with a bonus and is open to all.

With this in mind, we kindly ask if you would please consider supporting SAMS by becoming a FRIEND of the society
and provide us with that little extra help to continue to bring the shows that you love to our local Stamford Corn Exchange Theatre, and other venues.  A SAMS FRIEND can be an existing society member, parent, grandparent, other relative or anyone else with a love for musical theatre and who is willing to make a  minimum £20 contribution.

As a thank you bonus for becoming a Friend, SAMS would like to offer you the opportunity to save £5 on every full-priced ticket that you purchase directly from the society to attend any of our productions.

To become a friend simply click the above button, kindly make a donation and we'll contact you with Society News, shows and events...
